  • We study the mechanisms involved in hearing loss and discover novel treatments
  • We seek to improve cochlear implant surgery outcomes by reducing trauma to the inner ear intraoperatively, preserving residual hearing, and improving the electrode-nerve interface
  • We are screening new otoprotective agents that help to improve the outcome of cochlear implantation
  • We are screening new drugs that can help hearing loss and tinnitus
  • We also investigate the pathophysiology of auditory processing disorders and its treatments

Donation to Melody of Hope (Non Profit Organization – Tax deductable)

  • Dr. Adrien Eshraghi is a co-founder and serves as the board director since its inception in 2022
  • The foundation mission is:
    1. Helping children with autism through music
    2. Aiding and training music professionals in teaching children with autism
    3. Advocating for improved access to education for children with autism
    4. Using music to aid in communication and expression for those with limited verbal communication skill
    5. Raising funds to support scientific research in autism. Dr Eshraghi’s lab at University of Miami is actively screening new drugs that can help autism. For example we have various animal models of autism (genetic models, GI models, and models that involve various epigenetic insults), that help us to better understand the molecular mechanisms involved in autism and possible therapeutic approaches.
